Do You Eat Meat?

I have never been much of a meat eater, and many times was scolded for not eating it because it was suposed to be so good for me. It had all the proteins I needed and so on and so on…

But recent studies have shown that eating meat, particular processed or red meat is very unhealthy. Studies have shown it causes heart desease, high cholesterol and cancer.

It’s hard to believe that something we have always believed to be so good for us turns out to be bad. Most people don’t think they can live without meat…that’s their only source of protein. Plus for the meat-eaters there is nothing more filling than meat.

But the truth is meat clogs our intestines to the point where the body is unable to absorb other foods such as fruits and vegetables. This is why when we eat fruits and vegetables we become so hungry…they just pass through us and its almost the same as if we had not eaten them at all.

Meat on the other hand has to stay in our bodies longer because our bodies have to break down the proteins. This is why meat seems to be more filling…it can’t leave the body as fast, so more protein is absorbed and therefore we feel fuller longer.

This is extremely bad for the body, the longer the food remains in the body the more toxic it becomes. These toxins are released into the body causing all sorts of problems such as body odor, high cholesterol, and weaken the immune system. When our immune system is down we become the victim of many sickenesses and deseases.

So what do we do, and how can we stop eating meat? What can we eat as a substitute that will fill and satisfy our hunger? Nuts are a good substitute for meat and are quite filling as well. They are high in proteins and also have all the essential oils which we need. Fruits and vegetables also should be eaten along with the nuts.

It is difficult to change your diet…and it takes a lot of willpower. There will be days when it will seem as if we are eating all day without ever being full. But it is a process we must go through as our body cleanses itself.

Once we have stopped eating meat and our intestines are cleaned out our  bodies will better be able to absorb the nutrition from nuts, fruits and vegetables.  As a result we no longer will as hungry when we only consume nuts, fruits and vegetables.

So if you’re a meat eater, I would encourage you to cut down slowly; make gradual changes to your diet and stick with them. Over time you will start feeling much better and much more energetic and you’ll never want to go back to eating meat again. (That’s not to say you won’t cave every once in a while, but eventually you’ll be victorious.)
